The Black Eyed Children

Imagine you're at home late at night when an unexpected knock echoes from the door. Curiosity mingled with unease fills your mind as you wonder who could be there. To your surprise, you find two young children standing alone on your porch. As you open the door, an overwhelming sense of dread overtakes you. Something is terribly wrong. Then you see it—their lifeless, solid black eyes staring through you, freezing you in place.

The old saying goes, "The eyes are the windows to the soul." If that’s true, then the Black-Eyed Children, our next subject of cryptid lore, should be avoided at all costs.

While not officially recognized as cryptids, the Black-Eyed Children are a terrifying phenomenon. Many speculate that they could be connected to extraterrestrials, vampires, or spirits, often heralding misfortune for those who encounter them. They are most commonly reported knocking on windows or doors late at night, pleading to be let inside. Their eerie appearance and unsettling behavior serve as a warning: do not invite them in, nor venture outside to engage with them.

Typically described as children between the ages of 6 and 16, the Black-Eyed Children often travel in pairs. Their pale skin, outdated clothing, and unmistakable pitch-black eyes are telltale signs of their presence. However, more recent reports suggest they have begun to wear modern attire, including sunglasses or hats to obscure their haunting eyes, making them harder to identify at first glance.

Many believe these children possess telepathic abilities, allowing them to communicate silently and influence the thoughts of their victims. Some witnesses, or "experiencers," report feeling an inexplicable urge to let the children in, as if they were under a trance, only to snap out of it at the last moment. It is also believed that the Black-Eyed Children emit a radiation field, which may cause electrical malfunctions, power outages, and even physical symptoms like skin burns. For these reasons, it is imperative to keep your distance.

Interestingly, the older child in the pair often takes a more assertive role, while the younger one plays the part of the innocent, tugging at your emotions to gain entry. Many experiencers describe an immediate sense of fear and panic, leading them to shut the door and block the children from entering their homes.

To this day, the true nature of the Black-Eyed Children remains a mystery. There are no known cases of anyone allowing them inside or interacting with them for extended periods. They are typically turned away, with little resistance from the children themselves.

For now, their intentions are unclear. But one thing is certain: if the Black-Eyed Children ever knock on your door, it’s best to close it quickly and hide—before you risk becoming their next victim.
